The Grand Ducal Police have reported that on the afternoon of Monday 3 December 2025, it conducted a large-scale traffic check at the intersection of Rue Woiver and Rue de Soleuvre in Differdange.
According to the police, during the operation officers issued 39 fines. 26 drivers were penalised for using a mobile phone while driving (€250 fine and 4 points each), five vehicles were found to have unauthorised dipped headlights (€74 fine) and one vehicle lacked a compliant exhaust system (€74 fine).
Police also fined four drivers for running a red light (€145 fine and 2 points each). One driver could not produce a valid driving licence (€24 fine), another was not wearing a seatbelt (€145 fine and 2 points) and one driver had been using an expired road tax disc for over 60 days (€250 fine).
In addition, officers monitored speeds in the Cité Henri Grey 30 km/h zone and recorded 25 cases of speeding during the operation.
