The Grand Ducal Police reported three separate arrests in connection with thefts and drug-related offences on Monday 1 and Tuesday 2 December 2025.
According to the police, in the early morning of Monday 1 December 2025, officers were alerted to a fuel theft at a petrol station in Pommerloch. It was subsequently determined that the passenger had also stolen a handbag from another vehicle during the incident. As part of an immediate search operation, the suspected driver was located. Further enquiries revealed an attempted mobile-phone theft and that stolen bank cards had been used for payments at several petrol stations. On the orders of the public prosecutor’s office, the suspect was arrested and brought before an investigating judge, who issued an arrest warrant. A search for the passenger and an additional suspect proved unsuccessful, and further investigations have been launched.
In a separate case, early on Tuesday 2 December 2025, thefts from two vehicles were reported in Luxembourg City’s Gare district. Police officers located the two suspects shortly afterwards. A body search led to the seizure of cash, drugs, a knife and pepper spray. Both individuals were arrested on the orders of the public prosecutor’s office and brought before an investigating judge later that day.
Later that same evening, a police patrol in Rue de l’Église in Pétange noticed a group of young men emitting a strong smell of narcotics. According to initial information, the three individuals were stopped for a check, during which one man was found in possession of hashish, marijuana, cash and three mobile phones. The items were confiscated, and a subsequent house search was negative. On the orders of the public prosecutor’s office, the suspect was arrested and brought before an investigating judge on the morning of Wednesday 3 December 2025.
