The Grand Ducal Police have reported that on Wednesday 3 December 2025, two driving bans were issued in relation to drink driving incidents in Luxembourg City and Mamer.

According to the police, at around 01:25 on Wednesday, a police patrol on Avenue de la Gare in Luxembourg-Gare noticed a vehicle driving in the bus lane and ignoring a red traffic light. The officers immediately stopped the vehicle. The driver tested positive for alcohol and a provisional driving ban was issued.

Later that night, at around 03:10, a police patrol in Mamer, near the junction of Route d’Arlon and Rue Henri Kirpach, observed a vehicle travelling very slowly. Despite clear signals to stop, the driver initially continued. However, the vehicle was stopped shortly afterwards. The driver tested positive for alcohol and a provisional driving ban was issued.
