The Grand Ducal Police have reported the arrest of two suspects involved in a "Luxtrust" fraud scheme.

On the evening of Tuesday 18 November 2025, the police received a report of fraud. The victim had initially responded to a phishing email promising a credit balance. The following day, the victim received a call from someone claiming to be a Luxtrust employee, who warned them of the scam and requested their Luxtrust and bank details to replace the cards. Later, someone went to the victim's home address to collect the bank cards.

As part of the investigation, the police apprehended two suspects. A body search of one of them led to the discovery of a large sum of cash and the victim's bank card, among other items. A subsequent search of the residence uncovered another large sum of cash.

On the orders of the public prosecutor's office, both suspects were arrested and brought before an examining magistrate on the morning of Wednesday 19 November 2025.
