The Grand Ducal Police have reported two arrests on Tuesday 18 and Wednesday 19 November 2025 in connection with separate incidents in Esch-sur-Alzette.
Shortly after midnight on Tuesday 18 November 2025, the police received a report that a man had allegedly made death threats against his wife and son. A patrol located the suspect and, on the orders of the public prosecutor’s office, issued an expulsion order.
Later that afternoon, the man was reported again after returning to the apartment building despite the expulsion decision. Police located the suspect on site and, at the instruction of the public prosecutor’s office, arrested him. He was brought before an investigating judge on Wednesday morning, 19 November 2025.
On Tuesday evening, the police received a report of an intoxicated and aggressive man in a bar in Esch-sur-Alzette. A patrol located the individual, who was visibly under the influence of alcohol. According to the police, further checks revealed that the man had repeatedly driven his vehicle past the establishment despite an existing driving ban. A breath test returned a positive result and a provisional driving ban was issued. At the instruction of the public prosecutor’s office, the suspect was arrested and brought before an investigating judge on the morning of Wednesday 19 November 2025.
