On Tuesday 11 November 2025, the Grand Ducal Police reported that two driving bans were issued after accidents involving drink drivers in Esch-sur-Alzette and Mamer.

According to the police, on Monday 10 November at approximately 15:30, the police were notified of an accident on Rue Zenon Bernard in Esch-Alzette. The driver had collided with a parked vehicle, after which he abandoned his own vehicle and fled the scene. A police patrol located the driver shortly afterwards. A breathalyser test returned a positive result and officers issued a driving ban.

Later in the afternoon a rear-end collision on Route d’Arlon in Mamer was reported to the police, in which, according to initial information, three vehicles were involved. No one was injured. One of the drivers showed clear signs of alcohol consumption and a breathalyser test was administered and returned a positive result. A provisional driving ban was issued.
