The Grand Ducal Police have confirmed that they arrested two people following a burglary in Junglinster on Saturday 1 November 2025.
According to the police, they received a report of a burglary in Junglinster shortly before 11:00 yesterday. Officers immediately launched a search for the two suspected perpetrators: one of the men was located a short time later in a vehicle, while the other fled on foot but was apprehended a short time later thanks to the help of a witness.
The police conducted a search of one of the men which revealed jewellery and a crowbar; they also discovered further burglary tools in the vehicle. All items were confiscated.
The public prosecutor's office, who were notified of the incident, ordered the arrest of both men. The police also impounded the vehicle.
Following a medical examination, the two men were taken to the Uerscherthaff Penitentiary Centre and brought before a judge on Sunday morning.
