The Grand Ducal Police have reported that a man was arrested on Thursday 30 October 2025, following a traffic incident which caused damage to a vehicle in Luxembourg-Gare.

According to the initial report, in the late afternoon of Thursday 30 October the police were informed that a driver had damaged another vehicle in the city's Gare district and had continued his journey without taking note of the resulting damage.

As part of the investigations, the driver was identified and located. Due to the officers’ suspicion that the driver was under the influence of alcohol, they attempted to perform an alcohol test but the man refused.

When subsequent checks revealed that there was an existing driving ban against him, the public prosecutor's office was informed and they ordered the arrest of the suspect.

The man was brought before an investigating judge on the morning of Friday 31 October 2025.
