The Grand Ducal Police have announced that from Monday 3 November to Saturday 8 November 2025, a dress rehearsal will take place in Luxembourg-Kirchberg, during which various security infrastructures will be installed at Place de l’Europe.
The police said the dress rehearsal is part of a law-and-order approach for demonstrations of a violent nature, with security concepts including, among other measures, the installation of physical barriers at Place de l’Europe.
The police noted that while pedestrian crossings will be provided across the square, access will still be impeded during the works and the area will be inaccessible to bicycles.
The Trois Glands car park will be closed on Wednesday 5 November 2025 and the Place de l’Europe car park will only be accessible to drivers coming from the Kirchberg district.
To avoid any damage or injury, members of the public are advised to keep their distance from barbed wire installed as part of the security measures.
The police emphasised that the dress rehearsal is limited to the installation of physical infrastructures as part of the submission process; no exercises or interventions involving operational police units will take place. To document the measures, drone overflights by the police over the site are planned.
