The Grand Ducal Police have reported several incidents that occurred between Sunday 26 and Monday 27 October 2025, including a series of burglaries, vehicle thefts and a violent home robbery near Eschweiler.

On Sunday evening, police received reports of two separate burglaries. The first occurred at a single-family home on Rue des Lavandes in Strassen, where, according to initial information, unknown perpetrators gained entry through a patio door and ransacked the interior. The second incident took place the same evening on Rue Duscher in Sandweiler, where intruders allegedly forced open a garage door and searched all rooms and cupboards. Investigations have been launched in both cases.

Also on Sunday morning, police were alerted to two vehicle thefts on Rue Gaston Barbanson in Dudelange, where unknown perpetrators broke into two cars, searched them for valuables and stole cash. 

Another theft from a vehicle was reported in the early hours of Monday 27 October 2025 on Rue de Dudelange in Kayl, during which several valuables were taken. Police have opened investigations in all three cases.

At approximately 19:30 on Monday, a violent robbery was reported in Eschweiler (Tom Street). According to the police, three or four masked, French-speaking individuals forced entry into a single-family home, overpowered the two residents and stole jewellery and cash before fleeing the scene.

The police were alerted around 20:30, prompting a large-scale search operation in the Wiltz area, involving multiple patrol units. The search was called off at around 00:30 on Tuesday 28 October 2025 without result. On the orders of the public prosecutor’s office, forensic officers from the criminal police attended the scene.
