The Grand Ducal Police have reported that over the night of Saturday 18 October through to the early hours of Sunday 19 October 2025, they were called out to over 60 various noise disturbances and disputes across the country.

The police said that in most cases, the situation had already calmed down by the time the officers arrived, or no further noise disturbance could be detected. In some cases, the situation was resolved on site.

In the context of a domestic violence incident, an eviction order was issued by the public prosecutor’s office. According to the initial report, at around 18:20 on Saturday 18 October, officers were called to Chemin de la Corniche in Luxembourg-Ville due to a dispute between two individuals. When the officers arrived and attempted to calm the situation, one of the persons involved walked away and began shouting and insulting passers-by. Due to his state of intoxication, the man posed a danger to himself and to others. After a medical examination, he was taken into custody.
