The Grand Ducal Police have launched an investigation after a man was stabbed in Luxembourg-Gare on Thursday 16 October 2025.
On Thursday evening, the police were notified of a man with a cut wound in Place de la Gare in the capital's train station district. According to initial reports, a man attempted to rip a chain from another man's neck. The victim managed to push the perpetrator away, but the latter stabbed the victim in the shoulder and fled.
After receiving initial treatment at the scene, the victim was taken to hospital for further medical care.
An immediate search for the perpetrator was unsuccessful. The authorities have launched an investigation into the incident.
