The Grand Ducal Police have reported that they recently arrested a suspect linked to a violent theft in Peppange, in southern Luxembourg.
On the afternoon of Thursday 9 October 2025, the police received reports of a theft on Rue de Crauthem in Peppange. According to initial information, a man approached his victim and snatched a necklace from him / her, before fleeing in the direction of Bettembourg.
During a manhunt, the suspect was located. Upon seeing the officers, he reportedly fled on foot but was apprehended a short time later.
The police seized a small quantity of drugs from the suspect.
The man was arrested by order of the public prosecutor's office and brought before an investigating judge on Friday 10 October 2025.
