
On Friday 10 October 2025, the Grand Ducal Police reported two instances of dangerous driving where the drivers tested positive for alcohol.
According to the initial report, late in the evening of Thursday 9 October, the police in Howald were alerted to a vehicle driving without lights and swerving across the road. The driver was stopped shortly afterwards using flashing lights. During a check of the driver, the police noted he showed clear signs of alcohol consumption. In addition, he did not hold a valid driving licence. A breathalyser test was administered, returning a positive result. A provisional driving ban was issued by the officers.
During the early hours of Friday 10 October, a police patrol on Rue de Luxembourg in Bertrange observed a vehicle being driven at excessive speed and driven dangerously. The vehicle was stopped by officers who administered an alcohol test which returned a positive result. Officers immediately confiscated the driver’s licence.
