The Grand Ducal Police have reported that two individuals were arrested on Sunday evening, 28 September 2025, following the theft of licence plates in Diekirch.
According to the initial report, police received a call about licence plates stolen from two vehicles on Rue Joseph Merten in Diekirch. A patrol located the suspected perpetrators shortly afterwards in Vianden.
Investigations revealed that the two suspects were believed to have committed further licence plate thefts. A house search uncovered eleven different stolen licence plates.
On the orders of the public prosecutor’s office, the two suspects were arrested and brought before the investigating judge on the morning of 29 September 2025.
