On Monday 29 September 2025, the Grand Ducal Police reported that on the morning of Sunday 28 September 2025, items were stolen from a vehicle on Rue du Fort Wedell in Luxembourg-Gare.
According to initial information, two individuals had gained access to the vehicle, taken valuables from inside and then fled towards the main railway station. The alleged perpetrators were located inside the station building soon after by a police patrol. Both were taken to the police station for further investigation.
Investigations established that the two suspects could be linked to additional vehicle thefts reported earlier that same morning. During a body search, stolen items were recovered, confirming their involvement.
By order of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, one of the suspects was arrested and brought before an examining magistrate on Monday 29 September 2025. A report was drawn up for the second suspect. The recovered items were returned to their rightful owners.
