On Sunday 28 September 2025, more than 5,500 people took part in the “Global March For Palestine” in Luxembourg City which called for the end of the war in Gaza and called on the Luxembourg government to impose sanctions on Israel.
The march, organised by the collective Luxembourg Coalition for Palestine began in Luxembourg-Kirchberg and proceeded towards the city centre, crossing over the Grand Duchess Charlotte Bridge before concluding at Place de Clairefontaine in Luxembourg-Ville.
The Luxembourg Coalition for Palestine brings together NGOs, trade unions and civil society actors committed to human rights, justice and solidarity with the Palestinian people.
On its website, the organisation stated: “While European and Luxembourgish leaders present themselves as defenders of human rights, they continue to look away from the catastrophic situation in Gaza and, increasingly, in the occupied Palestinian territories. It is time to speak out clearly and firmly against war crimes, against genocide and for the future of the Palestinian people.”
