On Tuesday 23 September 2025, the City of Luxembourg (VdL) announced the donation of 400 kits, each consisting of a portable power station and a 2.8 kWh battery, to the City of Kyiv.
The VdL reported that the handover took place in the presence of Anne Calteux, Head of Representation of the European Commission in Luxembourg, and Claude Radoux, Honorary Consul of Ukraine.
According to the VdL, upon their arrival in Ukraine, the generators will help ensure the proper functioning of critical infrastructure, including hospitals, schools, nurseries and care homes, at a time when Ukraine’s energy infrastructure has been compromised due to Russian attacks.
This donation follows an earlier contribution of nineteen generators, providing a total of 630 kVA to support Ukraine’s energy security, as well as fourteen buses for the Ukrainian government to help maintain school transport and ensure children’s access to education during the conflict.
