The Grand Ducal Police have reported that as part of nationwide proactive measures in the fight against property crime, on Monday 15 September 2025, they arrested two suspected repeat offenders.
According to the initial report, the Criminal Police (SPJ), Division Répression du Grand Banditisme (RGB), succeeded in arresting the two suspects in Bertrange, after surveillance officers caught them in the act of attempting to break into a private residence.
The officers became aware of the two suspects after they displayed behaviour typical of burglars. When the men fled the scene in their vehicle, the officers succeeded in intercepting them.
One of the men was brought before an investigating judge on the morning of Tuesday 16 September 2025. The second man, who claimed to be underage, was placed in an appropriate holding facility.
The vehicle used in the offence was seized by officers.
