The Maison du Grand-Duc has announced that various foreign dignitaries will take part in the ceremonies marking Prince Guillaume's accession to the throne on Friday 3 October 2025.

The following foreign dignitaries will attend the throne handover in Luxembourg next month:

Kingdom of the Netherlands: King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima, accompanied by Catharina-Amalia, Princess of Orange

Kingdom of Belgium
King Philippe and Queen Mathilde, accompanied by Princess Élisabeth, Duchess of Brabant

Federal Republic of Germany
Frank-Walter Steinmeier, President of the Federal Republic of Germany, and his wife, Elke Büdenbender (attendance at the gala dinner only)

French Republic
Emmanuel Macron, President of the French Republic, and his wife, Brigitte Macron (attendance at the gala dinner only)

European Institutions
Roberta Metsola, President of the European Parliament, and her husband, Ukko Metsola
António Costa, President of the European Council
