The Grand Ducal Police have reported several cases of thefts from vehicles and burglaries on Sunday 7 September and Monday 8 September 2025.

According to the police, on the late morning of Sunday 7 September, a vehicle parked in Rue de la Bruyère in Kayl was broken into after a suspect reportedly smashed a window to gain access, stealing a bag. Another theft from a vehicle was reported overnight from Sunday to Monday in Rue de Bouillon in Luxembourg-Hollerich, where a wallet and other items were stolen.

The police also reported burglaries during the same period. On the night of Sunday 7 September, intruders broke into an apartment in Rue de la Vallée in Luxembourg-Hollerich, ransacked the premises and stole several items. A search proved negative. Later that afternoon, a burglary was reported at a single-family house in Rue Lankheck in Mersch, where unknown perpetrators reportedly gained access, ransacked the property and stole various items.
