On Tuesday 3 September 2024, Luxembourg's Minister for Home Affairs, Léon Gloden, received Poland's Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of the Interior and Administration, Maciej Duszczyk, for a meeting.

As reported by Luxembourg's Ministry of Home Affairs, Maciej Duszczyk, who is also responsible for international issues including those related to migration policy, presented the priorities of the Polish Presidency of the Council of the European Union from January to June 2025.

During this exchange, Minister Gloden noted the importance of implementing the EU Pact on Migration and Asylum according to schedule and establishing a more effective system for returning people residing in a country without authorisation.

Luxembourg's Minister for Home Affairs also insisted on respect for the Schengen Agreement.
