The Grand Ducal Police have issued an "urgent" call for information about the whereabouts of a 42-year-old man from Steinheim.
Nicolas Georges Wehenkel has been missing since Friday 23 August 2024. He was last seen at his residence in Steinheim around 18:00 on Friday.
The missing person is described as having short hair, being about 170-180 cm tall and of thin build.
He often stays in the Echternach or Wasserbillig area, added the police.
Anyone with information about the missing person's whereabouts is asked to "immediately" contact the Echternach police station via tel.: 244-72-1000.
UPDATE: the police confirmed on Thursday 29 August that the body of the missing man was discovered; there do no appear to be any "external influence".
