On Tuesday 20 February 2024, POST Luxembourg launched a call for proposals for the issue of future official commemorative stamps (for 2025 and beyond).

POST Philately issues around twenty stamps each year dedicated to various commemorations. These commemorative stamps celebrate jubilees of personalities, associations, institutions, historical buildings, works of art or even events of major significance.

Municipal administrations and main cultural institutions were invited to submit their subject proposals for possible commemorative stamps via mail or online via https://www.post.lu/en/lp/timbres-commemoratifs. Any association, cooperative or group as well as companies and private individuals can submit their proposals via the online form until 15 March 2024.

All requests received by post or electronically before 15 March 2024 and whose subject has been deemed admissible will be examined by the Philatelic Committee. The issuance programme for the year 2025 is traditionally presented during the Stamp Evening (Soirée du Timbre), which will take place at the end of September 2024.

After their issue, the official stamps will be available in the POST Philately online store (www.postphilately.lu), at the philatelic counter (13, rue Robert Stumper, Cloche d'Or) as well as in all POST Espace shops and post offices.
