On Tuesday 5 December 2023, the Grand Ducal Police confirmed that a shooting took place in Luxembourg-Gare, in the afternoon.
Shortly before 17:00, a person was shot in the abdomen with a gun on Rue du Fort Neipperg.
The police have initiated an extensive search for the individuals responsible. They urged citizens to promptly report any suspicious behaviour by calling the police emergency number 113.
Update: The police reported that the perpetrator fled the scene. According to initial information, the victim and the perpetrator knew each other. The victim is presently undergoing medical care while the investigation continues.
