The Ville de Luxembourg has announced that, in the light of the incident in the Trier city centre pedestrian zone this afternoon which caused several deaths and dozens of injuries, it will deploy the system of reinforced concrete bollards from tomorrow (Wednesday) evening around the Luxembourg city centre pedestrian zone.
The Ville de Luxembourg has also conveyed its "feelings of deep compassion and solidarity" to the city of Trier and its inhabitants, and has expressed to the families of the victims its "most sincere condolences".
