On Monday 13 October 2025, the choir of the University of Luxembourg reported that it had collected €1,365 for charity at its concert held this summer in Dudelange, in southern Luxembourg.

The funds will support projects in Luxembourg run by telephone helpline service Kanner-Jugendtelefon - KJT, Ligue Santé Mentale (“Mental Health League”) and SOS Détresse (distress helpline). These are the three partner charities of Darkness Into Light Luxembourg, one of more than 200 sunrise walks held worldwide to raise awareness of suicide and self-harm.

Lynda Jacob, member of the Darkness Into Light Luxembourg committee, noted: “It is important to both inform the public about mental health challenges, while ensuring there is multilingual support in Luxembourg for people who need to talk. We are grateful to those who donated so generously and to the Uni.lu Choir for helping to spread the message.”
