On Wednesday 10 July 2024, Luxembourg's employment agency, ADEM, and the Wine Institute (Institut viti-vinicole - IVV) announced the renewal of their collaboration in recruiting additional seasonal workers for work in the vineyards and for the 2024 grape harvest.
As in previous years, ADEM and the Wine Institute are organising a "job day" which aims to recruit seasonal grape pickers for wine companies looking for candidates. This recruitment event, taking place on Thursday 18 July 2024 at the Wine Institute, will allow winegrowers to meet the candidates pre-selected by ADEM but also anyone else who is interested (even if not registered with ADEM) in a job as seasonal worker in a wine company. This recruitment day will allow winegrowers to exchange during speed dating type sessions and to recruit a reserve of pickers.
The grapes are harvested manually for the production of Luxembourgish crémant and high-end wines to guarantee the quality of the products.
