On Monday 9 March 2026, Luxembourg's Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, Defence, Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade, together with its Directorate of Defence, confirmed that a fifth repatriation flight had arrived in Brussels.
According to the authorities, repatriation operations for Luxembourg nationals continued in the Middle East on Sunday 8 and Monday 9 March 2026.
The Belgian-Luxembourg binational A400M unit deployed two A400M military transport aircraft, with mixed crews, to evacuate 134 people from Dubai to Hurghada. Those evacuated included people from Luxembourg, Belgium, France and the Netherlands. From Hurghada, a civilian repatriation flight chartered by the Belgian government transported the passengers to Brussels Airport.
A bus from the Luxembourg Army is transporting Luxembourg nationals to Luxembourg Airport. Their arrival at Findel is scheduled for around 12:30 on Monday.
