At the Ecofin Council, financing the green transition was discussed based on a presentation by Mathias Cormann, Secretary-General of the OECD. The last session focused on the challenges related to demographic ageing.

Hungary holds the presidency of the Ecofin Council from July to December 2024.

On the sidelines of the meetings, Minister Roth also met his Belgian counterpart, Vincent Van Peteghem, to discuss bilateral issues.
