At the invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron, Luxembourg's Minister of Health Paulette Lenert will participate as guest of honour in the celebrations of Bastille Day today, Tuesday 14 July 2020, in Paris.
The President of the French Republic has invited Minister Paulette Lenert with the aim of expressing his gratitude to Luxembourg for having taken in French patients in its hospitals during the COVID-19 pandemic. The eleven patients from the Grand Est region were able to benefit from medical treatment adapted to their critical state of health.
The Bastille Day ceremony will pay tribute to the nursing staff and all the actors mobilised in the fight against COVID-19.
At the end of the official ceremony, Health Minister Paulette Lenert will have lunch with the French Minister of Solidarity and Health Olivier Véran, as well as with her German, Austrian and Swiss counterparts.
