Selected by the Committee of French Speaking Societies for its major annual event, the internationally acclaimed, award-winning singer Adrienne Haan became the star of the Bastille Day Ball in New York City on 13 July at 404 Club, singing to an audience of around one thousand people, including The Honorable Bertrand Lortholary, Consul General of France in New York, His Excellency Harald Braun, Permanent Representative of Germany to the UN, and Mr. Olivier Maes, Deputy Permanent Representative of Luxembourg to the UN.

Adrienne Haan, accompanied by her musical director/pianist Richard Danley and her drummer Mike Campenni, presented Cabaret Français featuring classics by Edith Piaf and Jacques Brel, and introducing lesser-known works such as 1920s and 1930s French chansons by Kurt Weill and Walter Jurmann. Her uniquely crafted show also included contemporary pop-jazz songs originally performed by Patricia Kaas.

A dual nationality Luxembourg and German citizen, Adrienne Haan is one of Europe's and America's most electrifying concert and cabaret stars. Since March 2015, she has literally conquered the USA, presenting a wide array of shows at various venues and festivals in New York City, Washington, DC, and more recently in Sante Fe, New Mexico, and receiving numerous standing ovations and outpouring of media attention.

What a strange coincidence that Bastille Day would be celebrated this year for the first time in the Grand-Duchy while Luxembourg singer Adrienne Haan would star for the first time for the same celebration right in the heart of New York City! Stay tuned for more on Adrienne Haan...
