The Grand Ducal Police have reported that a fatal accident occurred on the rails near Dommeldange train station on Thursday afternoon.
At around 12:20 on Thursday 18 April 2024, a man was hit by a train, not far from the train station in Dommeldange. He succumbed to his injuries shortly afterwards.
The police noted that the criminal investigation department was on-site but added no further details.
Prior to the police report, the CFL had reported that trains were disrupted between Dommeldange and Luxembourg in relation to an incident requiring the intervention of the emergency services. Traffic was expected to gradually resume from 16:30.
