On Friday 15 March 2024, Claude Strasser, Director General of POST Luxembourg presented the souvenir frame of the stamp commemorating the 75th anniversary of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) to Yuriko Backes, Luxembourg’s Minister of Defence.

NATO was officially established on 4 April 1949 in Washington, United States, with the signing of the North Atlantic Treaty by twelve founding states, including Luxembourg. Deterrence and collective defence of the Euro-Atlantic zone, the preservation of freedom, human rights and democratic values have been at the very heart of this Solidarity Alliance for 75 years. Luxembourg's adherence to NATO values and the principles of solidarity and unity remain unshakeable, the Directorate of Defence concluded.
