The Grand Ducal Police have announced that the manhunt and appeal for witnesses yielded results after a vehicle fire was reported in Fennange in the morning, on Tuesday 23 April 2024.
In the early hours of the morning, a vehicle fire was reported to the police in Fennange. Another vehicle nearby also caught fire, which destroyed both.
Witnesses reported that suspects had been sighted in the vicinity of the fire. Police officers conducted a large-scale search that proved successful. In the course of the morning, four men were identified on suspicion of arson. The public prosecutor's office ordered the arrest of three of them, who are scheduled to appear before the examining magistrate this afternoon.
The police noted that the investigation is nevertheless still ongoing.
