Luxembourg’s National Youth Service (Service National de la Jeunesse - SNJ) and the Ministry of Sport have announced an Open Day event to take place on Saturday 20 April 2024 at the Nautical Centre Lultzhausen from 11:00 to 19:00.
The event’s first edition took place in September 2023. Aimed at the general public, the Open Day is organised in collaboration with the base’s partners, the municipality of Esch-sur-Sûre and various local associations. Luxembourg’s Minister of Sport, Georges Mischo and the Director of the National Youth Service, Georges Metz, will be present on the day.
Visitors of all ages will be able to discover a range of activities: stand-up paddle boarding, canoeing, kayaking, sailing and indoor climbing. In addition, the Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps (CGDIS), the Luxembourg federation of sub-aquatic activities and sports(Fédération Luxembourgeoise des Activités et Sports Sub-Aquatiques – FLASSA) and the the Upper Sûre Nature Park (Naturpark Öewersauer) will offer a circus workshop and various other interactive activities on the subject of water.
The Esch-sur-Sûre municipality and the Lultzhausen youth hostel will provide catering for the occasion.
