Luxembourg's national railway company, the CFL, announced that rail traffic will be interrupted in both directions between Luxembourg and Bertrange, from the evening of Tuesday 23 January 2024 to the early morning of Wednesday 24 January 2024.

The CFL noted that maintenance work aimed at continuing to guarantee the stability of the tracks will be carried out from Tuesday at 20:35 until Wednesday at 4:30. During this time, no trains will run between Luxembourg and Bertrange. Trains coming from/direction Kleinbettingen/Arlon will therefore have their terminus/origin at the Bertrange station. Following the work, certain trains will have to be cancelled on this same section.

The CFL will set up a replacement bus service which will run from 20:20 (Luxembourg bus station), 20:49 (Bertrange) and 21:05 (Arlon). More details are available on the website www.cfl.lu or via the CFL mobile application.

The CFL added it carries out regular checks of the rail infrastructure to guarantee the safety and quality of its services. A recent inspection showed the need to carry out maintenance work on the track near Hollerich.
