Maples and Calder, the Maples Group's law firm, has announced it advised Creditsafe Group on the acquisition of the business information unit and its total assets, including operational activities, customers and data of Editus Luxembourg SA.

The transaction closed on 31 December 2023.  

Creditsafe is a global business intelligence expert, specialising in business credit checking and business-to-business ("B2B") solutions. It is a widely used provider of company credit information, company data and credit reports worldwide. Both Editus and Creditsafe focus on providing customer-focused information solutions aiming to accelerate their customers' long-term growth and economic stability.

A team based in the Maples Group's Luxembourg office acted as Luxembourg counsel to Creditsafe assisting with legal matters regarding the negotiation of the agreement. The team was led by Luxembourg Corporate Partner, Baptiste Aubry, with assistance from Corporate Associate, Timothée Gras.
