Luxembourg's Government Council (Cabinet) met on Wednesday 13 December 2023 under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Luc Frieden.
In addition to discussing international and European matters (e.g. accession talks with Ukraine and Moldova), the Cabinet addressed economic and social issues.
The government ministers notably decided to extend the subsidy schemes for sustainable initiatives, namely concerning renewable energies in the field of housing (Klimabonus Wunnen), for example subsidies for photovoltaic installations and heat pumps, and that of mobility (Klimabonus Mobilitéit), for example subsidies for electric vehicles.
These aid schemes have now been extended until the end of June 2024.
