The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the schedule for Sub Regional Qualifiers (SRQ) leading to the Men's T20 World Cup which is to take place in 2024, for which the Luxembourg national team will compete in the SRQ - Europe B grouping, being played in Finland from 24 to 31 July 2022.

In total, ten teams will compete in the SRQ - Europe B: five in Group 1 (Guernsey, Austria, Luxembourg, Bulgaria and Slovenia), and five in in Group 2 (Norway, France, Czech Republic, Estonia and Switzerland).

The schedule for Luxembourg's matches are as follows:

  • 24 July 2022: Austria v Luxembourg (Group 1), 11:00, Tikkurila Cricket Ground
  • 25 July 2022: Luxembourg v Guernsey (Group 1), 16:00, Kerava National Cricket Ground
  • 28 July 2022: Bulgaria v Luxembourg (Group 1), 11:00, Kerava National Cricket Ground
  • 30 July 2022: Luxembourg v Slovenia (Group 1), 16:00, Tikkurila Cricket Ground

The teams qualifying for the play-offs will be decided according to the final standings after the group games are concluded; the play-off schedule is as follows (all to be played on 31 July):

  • 7th Place Play Off - Group 1 (4th) v Group 2 (4th), 11:00, Tikkurila Cricket Ground
  • 3rd Place Play Off - Group 1 (2nd) v Group 2 (2nd), 11:00, Kerava National Cricket Ground
  • 5th Place Play Off - Group 1 (3rd) v Group 2 (3rd), 16:00, Tikkurila Cricket Ground
  • Final - Group 1 (1st) v Group 2 (1st), 16:00, Kerava National Cricket Ground

The winning team will join the winners of both SRQ A and SRQ C, as well as Germany, in the European Regional Final, with two teams progressing as two of the eight qualifiers for the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024 being held in the USA and the West Indies with 20 teams in total.
