The Star Cricket Club (Star CC) in Luxembourg held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Schuttrange on Sunday 10 March 2024.
Following a lunch provided by Kohinoor Luxembourg, Club Chair Rutvij Thumar welcomed the presence of members, as well as Luxembourg Cricket Federation Chair Madhu Ramachandran and Honorary President Prakash Domah.
A moment of silence was observed in memory of the late Sir Mike West, fellow cricketer, "a friend and a true gentleman".
Star CC noted that the AGM conducted by Aarti Priya was an opportunity to hear and reflect on achievements and challenges from Stars Men's captains of their teams and from Women's leads for the last year, as well as goals for the future of the club and its respective teams.
There was also an opportunity to hear more about the progress of Star CC Women and their plans to train, recruit and participate in tournaments organised by LCF.
Treasurer Roshan Paul Vishwanath presented the club's financials for previous years and the budget for 2024.
The AGM was followed by the annual awards. The following "oustanding" recognitions were presented to Star and ex-Star members who represented the club in 2023 (Indoors and Outdoors) and their "excellent" work and commitment to the club:
