On Sunday evening, a two-car accident on the A13 near the Schifflange exit, in the direction of Dudelange, resulted in five people being hospitalised.

At around 19:00, four people had been travelling in one car from Esch-sur-Alzette which had crashed into a second car which was attempting to turn around on the motorway, after the driver realised that she had been travelling in the wrong direction. It was while attempting to turn aound that the collision with the other car occurred. The car with the four occupants hit the first car (single occupant) on the driver's side, following which it careered into the fast lane and crashed into the armco barriers.

The four occupants were treated by parademics at the scene of the accident before being moved to hospital for further checks. The driver attempting to turn around on the motorway was breathalysed and was found to be over the legal limit and had her driving licence and car both confiscated.
