Details: STEP Benelux has announced a lunch meeting to be held at Cercle Munster in Luxembourg-Grund on Wednesday 18 September 2013 from 12:00.
The event will include a presentation by Toon MEYER TEP, Director at Lombard International Assurance, entitled "INVESTOR PROTECTION AFTER CYPRUS". HOW CAN THE INVESTOR BE PROTECTED following the events in Cyprus, the implications of which have not gone away? What mechanisms are in place, what jurisdictions are safer than others, what can investors and their advisers do to protect their assets and what should governments and regulators do to increase confidence?
TOON MEYER TEP is a member of STEP and joined Lombard International Assurance S.A. in 1995. And after 17 years of consultancy he now holds the position of Personal Development Director. Born in Belgium and educated at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Toon holds a Masters degree in Economics and Social sciences. For over 25 years Toon has been providing expert advice to private clients regarding financial planning. Over the years he has developed a high affinity for tax and legal issues. His expertise lies in designing and implementing sophisticated succession planning solutions.
