On 19 October 2017, two workers were injured whilst using a grease gun on a construction site between Boulevard Konrad Adenauer and the Allée des Charmes.

Yesterday morning, two construction workers were lubricating an earth boring machine with a grease gun as one of the men reached over the rotating drill head. In doing so, the man’s clothing got caught in the drill head, which was then dragged into the machine. Whilst his work colleague switched off the machine and tried to bring the drill head to a standstill, the incident resulted in injuries to both men.

The former was finally freed from the machine when other workers came to aid and both injured men were then taken to hospital after primary care.

The ITM workers inspection organisation was informed and attended the incident. The prosecutor's office was also informed and ordered the confiscation of the clothes and all relevant traces for evidence.
