Luxair Luxembourg Airlines, Alitalia and lux-Airport’s officials warmly welcome the first flight LG6622 that arrived at Luxembourg airport on 4 December 2017;

As announced in early December, Luxair have commenced flights to Milan-Linate in a codeshare with Alitalia

Travellers are now able to fly direct to Milan’s financial centre, thanks to the new Luxembourg - Linate route. Enrico Forlanini Airport, better known as Linate Airport, is Milan’s “city airport” and is around fifteen minutes from Milan’s city centre.

The Linate Airport route has been added to the already existing Luxair route to Malpensa International Airport, increasing the number of flights between Luxembourg and Milan from 18 to 30 flights a week.

Flights to Malpensa and Linate may be combined, allowing passengers to travel via the two airports. Thus, passengers will benefit from optimised frequencies and increased flexibility, an ideal solution for business travelers.

The Italian airline Alitalia operates this route for Luxair Luxembourg Airlines in an Embraer 175, 88-seater twinjet. The “code-share” agreement between Luxair and Alitalia will make it easier for passengers to get to other Italian destinations from Luxembourg. Frequent flyers will be able to use their Miles&More loyalty programme.

The code-share route offers 2 daily flights from Monday to Friday, 1 flight on Saturday and 1 flight on Sunday which are operated at attractive times (see www.luxair.lu for details).

Milan is one of the biggest cities in Italy and Europe, situated in North-Eastern Italy. It is a multi-facetted city. It is Italy’s industrial, commercial, financial and academic hub, as well as a popular destination for tourists, due to its diversity, culture and fashion.

Flights are already on sale from www.luxair.lu and via travel agencies.
