Hotel Van der Valk Arlon inauguration;

The Van der Valk family has opened a new 4-star hotel in Luxembourg-Arlon, at Exit 32 of the A4/E111 motorway that connects Luxembourg with Brussels and The Neetheerlands in the north, and the Alps and the South of France to the south.

Sandra and Steven Zeuuw van der Laan, owners and directors of the hotel, opened the hotel officially on Tuesday with a press conference in the morning and a busineess rception in the evening.

The Van der Valk Hotel Luxembourg-Arlon offers 125 modern and cozy rooms of at least 30m2, of which 100 are Superior rooms, 18 are Executive rooms, 5 are Penthouse suites, and also 1 Wellness suite and 1 Presidential suite.

What is most striking about the building is not its 12 storeys visible clearly from outside, but the spacious foyer and high ceilings everywhere. This new building, of which the foundation stone was laid two years ago, is bright and breezy, spacious and full of charm, respecting the family traditions that has seen the chain expand to ovr 100 hotels in the BeNeLux.

Its rooms have been open for a number of weeks, as has its L'Oeuf brasserie, with its Le Nid restaurant opening soon.

The brasserie offers delicious specialities, from Belgium and abroad, prepared with fresh products. A large drinks menu is also available in the bar next to the restaurant.
Open every day from 11:00 to 23:00 (until midnight for the bar).

The Chef of Le Nid restaurant will offer sophisticated dishes elaborated with high-end products and meticulously cooked, including business meals and for special occasions.

The hotel has 10 multi-purpose rooms including 3 meeting rooms and 2 plenary rooms, all located on the 1st floor; the largest room can receive up to 550 people. The spacious first floor lobby is used for event breaks room free access to hot and cold drinks.

The La Chouette bar located on the first floor offers a panoramic view and can accomodate up to 200 people and can be booked for private events.

The Wellness area is set to open in the summer; it will offer swimming-pool, sauna and massages for both guests and outside clients. Also planned for the summer is an orchard and a garden: in the future, the Chef will have fresh fruit and vegetables harvested directly from the garden. The hotel is also planning to achieve the Green Key eco-label for respecting the environment and which will attest to the use of natural resources and the fight against waste.

For now, Tesla superchargers are available in the hotel car-park.

A little history

Martinus Van der Valk created a first coffee-restaurant in Vorschooten, The Netherlands, in the 1930s which was to become the beginning of the Van der Valk group. His children participated to the growth of the group and strongly developed it in the 80s and 90s with the takeover of HORECA establishments and new constructions.

Van der Valk Hotel Luxembourg-Arlon is the most recent of Van der Valk in Belgium. The hotel welcomes business customers, regional guests and also tourists.
