Music:LX has announced the acquisition of a new Opel Movano van to be used transport Luxembourgish artists travelling abroad.
The newly introduced van will serve groups and artists who need to move, often with several people, and with very bulky equipment.
More than 20 artists had previously been able to travel the roads of Europe thanks to the old Fiat Ducato. Among them were Say Yes Dog, Sleepers' Guilt, When Airy Met Fairy, Sun Glitters .and Mutiny On the Bounty which used the vehicle ten times.
Pop/rock musicians had used the van the most, over 40 times, whilst metal artists used it 15 times. Having travelled 152,264 kilometres in three years, the old van visited more than 10 countries, from Denmark to Spain via Austria, Slovenia, Switzerland, the Czech Republic and many others.
