Luxembourg’s annual Theaterfest is moving this year from its traditional location at the Abbey of Neumünster to Place Clairefontaine in Luxembourg-ville.
This year’s Theaterfest, held on Saturday 16 September 2017 from 14:00, will transform Place Clairefontaine into an open-air stage, highlighting the new theatrical and choreographic season in Luxembourg.
By moving the festival away from its traditional place at Neumünster abbey, the members of the Theater Federatioun intended to decompartmentalise the world of theatre and dance in Luxembourg, locating the event as close as possible to its inhabitants.
Excerpts from unpublished pieces, initiation workshops, video screenings, readings, meetings with teams and artists, as well as world cuisine and evening concerts are all planned for the day’s programme, which has been tailored to satisfy amateurs and professionals from all backgrounds.
The public are invited to discover the programmes of theatres, cultural centres and performing arts companies in the Grand Duchy, meet artists and enjoy a large number of shows and animations.
