Born into a millennnial culture, the Shaolin Monks are trained as masters of Chinese kung-fu; the performances are magical.

The mysterious monastic city of Shaolin at the foot of the sacred mountain Song Shan has been the physical, spiritual and spiritual centre of China for centuries.

More than 1,500 years ago, the Indian monk Damo founded Zen Buddhism there and taught the monks physical exercises he called kung fu. To this day, the Shaolin Temple is considered one of the largest sanctuaries and places of interest in China. Thousands of students perfect their knowledge of kung fu in the schools around the temple and live by the strict rules of Zen Buddhism.

In this show, 19 of the best masters and shamis (students) present their incredible abilities, beyond the limits of physics

Mastering their Qi through breathing and training, they break stone slabs, wooden slats and iron bars on their bodies and heads, laying on spears, swords and nail boards, pointing spearheads at throats and even throwing a sewing needle through a pane of glass. All of these incredible exercises are live, as part of a story about the monastery, its eventful history, the mysterious monastery founder Bodhidharma and his strict rules of life.
