Today it was announced that the Open Days for the Luxtram will be held this Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 September 2017.

Following the release of the first two tramsets on 12 July, Luxtram today presented its Open Days programme, in the presence of François Bausch, Minister of Sustainable Development and Infrastructure, and Sam Tanson, First Alderwoman of the Ville de Luxembourg, which will take place this weekend on the site of the "Neien Tramsschapp".

Indeed, the two-day programme will feature activities related to the tram and mobility, with visitors having a first chance to embark on the tram which will run on the Neien Tramsschapp site. There will also be the chance to visit the maintenance workshops where the Luxtram teams will present the various activities around the tram and discuss the mobility of tomorrow thanks to the participation of the mobility actors in Luxembourg

Additionally, there will be entertainment for adults and children alike with music from the Tramsmusek, Trio Demuth, Reis Wiltgen and other groups.

Various beverage and food outlets will also be available on site.

During the two days, a free shuttle service to the Neien Tramsschapp will be available for visitors to use. The shuttles and the site are accessible to people with reduced mobility. The site will not be accessible by car.
